Just below the surface of our daily lives are a thousand stories burning to be told, though we rarely stop to uncover them.
In the safe, supportive setting of this 6-week workshop, we uncover the stories within: personal, mythical, ancestral, and animal, that empower and may even transform us, using free writing, guided meditation, and story circles. No experience in anything required.
Jumpstart your stalled creativity. As the poet Rilke says, "...it is not too late to dive into your increasing depths where life calmly gives out its own secret."
The workshop will be led by ALICE Arts' Co-founder and Artistic Director, Helen Stoltzfus. She is an award-winning theatre director, actor, and playwright who has been teaching theatre and the creative process to actors and non-actors for over 25 years.
Aside from her work creating, producing and directing ALICE Arts' performance works, Helen co-wrote and starred in a film adaptation of her solo play, Like a Mother Bear, that explores the intersection of ecology, myth, and healing.

Helen's plays have been performed worldwide, from The Los Angeles Theatre Festival to Hamburg's Sommer Theatre Festival, and from Prague to Appalachia.
